Brett McDaniel
Meet Brett McDaniel – Coach, Leader, and Mentor
Hey everyone! I’m Brett McDaniel, and I can’t wait to connect with you at the SERVUS Leadership Conference!
I’ve spent over 25 years helping students and athletes become stronger leaders—both in schools and on the court. I’ve been a leadership teacher, coach, and school administrator, working with students from elementary through high school. I also spent 20+ years as a head basketball coach, leading teams, building culture, and helping athletes develop the mindset and skills to succeed in sports and life.
Beyond coaching, I’ve served as a dean of students and assistant principal at the middle and high school levels, where I focused on student leadership, school culture, and creating a positive environment where everyone feels valued. I’ve also worked as a Mental Performance Coach at the University of Puget Sound, helping college athletes strengthen their mental game and perform at their best.
Now, as the Director of School Supports for Character Strong, I travel across the country, working with students and educators to build stronger leadership, character, and school communities.
I believe leadership isn’t about a title—it’s about how you show up every day. Whether on the court, in the classroom, or in your community, you have the power to make a difference. I can’t wait to share some tools and stories with you at SERVUS—see you there!
